• Karen Martin is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Illinois, 
• A Board-Certified Diplomat in Social Work,
• Received her master's degree from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration,
• Is now a full-fledged psychoanalyst, a graduate of the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis,
• Has a private practice in Highland Park, Il.

Karen was for many years Clinical Director of Youth & Family Counseling, a community mental health agency in Libertyville, Il. At the time the video was made, she was active in the community, training teachers and counselors at public high schools and middle schools. She currently supervises therapists in the understanding and treatment of adults and adolescents.

Her videotape, "Surviving Adolescence," is a film of a parenting seminar with parents of young adolescents who were just entering high school.
