Parents of teens and pre-teens--as well
as teenagers and pre-teens themselves--are invited to send in a
question for possible response by social worker Jean Walbridge .
Unfortunately, Jean can respond to only one email from a parent and one email from a teen or preteen each week. The selected questions and Jean's responses are posted at "Question of the Week." These Q&A's then become part of the Archives. | NB: If you need immediate advice or mental health assistance, consult a mental health professional in your community. You may find our Directory of Clinicians will assist you. If you are thinking about suicide, go to the nearest hospital emergency room & ask for help. The national suicide hotline phone is: 1-800-SUICIDE. Needs for immediate advice/help are not well met through e-mail. (See About Getting Help.)
[For informed response to questions about effects of specific drugs] | Scroll down to find the "Send a question" link.
Before you send a question: have you searched the Parent /Teen Archives to see if a question similar to yours has already been answered? Although Jean selects only one question a week from a parent and one from a teen or preteen to be answered, you may also find help through using the Archives and/or reading the Articles posted at this site.
Each question submitted becomes the property of Parenting Adolescents whether answered or posted or not. Be aware that if your question is selected for Jean's response, it will be posted, along with the response, at Question of the Week. Your question may be edited for spelling and grammar before being posted. [Read privacy policy. ] [Review terms and conditions.] |
