"Academics,"
followed by "my
attitude" and "parents don't respect me/treat
me like a child," the top 3 issues for teens --
"Parents don't
respect me/treat me like a child," "parents worry about
me too much," and
"school failure" the top 3 issues for preteens.
Teens and preteens voted for
the top 3 issues they experience with their parents, from a field
of 26. (See the Poll) There were
many more teen participants (n=92) than preteen (n=11), so the
teen votes follow the general curve for the entire sample. But
you can see that on "p-respect," "worry,"
and "sch.fail," the preteen votes are much higher,
proportionally, than those of the teen votes on these
issues. (Abbreviations explained)
The Parenting
Issues and Teen Polls are run
continuously at this site and results are posted quarterly. (Click on the underlined text to vote
