Pie graph of teen poll results

The Teen and Parenting Issues Polls are run continuously at this site and results are posted quarterly. (Click on the underlined text to vote in current poll.)

How the poll worked:

Teens and preteens voted for their "top 3" issues with their parents, choosing from a list of 26 possible issues. (See the Poll.) The pie chart above shows which four issues were the top "vote-getters" in this poll.

All four of the top vote-getters were very close--"academics" just barely nudged out "parents don't respect me, treat me like a child" and "my attitude," with "parents worry about me too much" running close behind.

Q: Why are all the percentages of the total vote so low? A: Because there were so many issues to choose from (26 in all), and each respondent got to pick 3 instead of only 1.
